Paul is a motivated, talented and results oriented young professional currently working at GEICO as a Regional Claims Operations Manager.  Previously, Paul was part of the Emerging Leaders Program, which is a management development program that is geared toward understanding the macro and micro views of the organization while obtaining the skills, experience and expertise necessary to drive results.  He successfully completed six management rotations as part of this merit-based, progressive leadership program.  He has experience and knowledge in operational management, sales/marketing, service, underwriting, pricing and product management, planning, budgeting and staffing, and claims liability and litigation management.  


Paul has achieved the following professional designations: Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Senior Claims Law Associate (SCLA), Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and GEICO Certified Underwriter.  


  

GovNet Communications – Inside Government, London, England


During the Summer of 2009, Paul had the honor to be an intern at GovNet Events & Inside Government.  Both of these organizations are divisions of GovNet Communications.  At GovNet Communications, Paul organized events to help key representatives inform and be informed on pressing issues/topics, in an environment designed to foster discussion, debate and sharing of vital information.  He also composed and edited marketing emails, supplemental marketing materials, surveys, programs/information packs/speakers‘ biographies, websites, attendance logs, event summaries/agendas, and databases.  He was “promoted” to event manager/program manager to oversee the logistics of the event and was also responsible for the attendance and registration for the Parliamentary Awards at the House of Lords.  At the conclusion of his internship, he trained interns to work for GovNet Communications.   


C.H. Robinson Worldwide


During the Summer of 2010, Paul interned at C.H. Robinson Worldwide where he coordinated over 100 delivery transactions per day ensuring proper obtainment/delivery of product per customer’s requests.  He was able to learn how to resolve conflicts to ensure that freight was received on a timely basis and was recognized for identifying and building new client agreements.  He was complimented by customers and carriers for efficiency, clarity and personable attitude.


Buffalo Niagara Partnership 

In the Winter of 2007-2008, Paul had the experience to intern with The Buffalo Niagara Partnership in Buffalo, New York.  He established partnerships among organizations and businesses by creating and establishing programs, enhancing established campaigns and providing a fresh vision and perspective.  Paul promoted success of local businesses to potential clients at various networking events and he advocated for businesses of the Buffalo Niagara region, promoted success of local businesses to potential clients and organized and complied reports for various programs including: The Framework for Growth, Young Professionals Program, Diversity Advisory Board and the CEO Roundtable.

Paul is proficient in Microsoft Windows, Macintosh, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, GIS, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Dreamweaver and Internet Research.  He has coursework in both French and Spanish throughout his academic career.  He is also certified in TIPS (Training In Intervention ProcedureS), SafeZone, and CPR/AED.
